9. What is the reason for my libido reducing recently?

Among young people it is often due to chronic prostatitis, or it can be attributed to underlying psychological problems. A wide variety of medication can reduce the libido (ie. most of the high blood pressure treating drugs). Once the reasons are clarified, the problem can be treated. Amongst older men, in addition to the above-mentioned, a reduction in male hormones can also cause similar symptoms. This is similar to the menopausal effects amongst women. For ageing men, hormone replacement therapy can be the solution. During examination, atrophied testes can be detected, or a blood test can prove reduced hormone production.
